Why Able Project is seeking Sponsorship now?

Able Project was established in October 2002 and its website was launched during the first quarter of 2003. Since then we have tackled many challenges as a non-profit startup organization during some difficult economic times. But we have succeeded with passion and determination by staying focused on our mission: "To provide a network where people with disabilities and their loved ones can easily research, compare, locate and obtain mobility and assistive products, thereby helping them to lead more independent lives".

Today, we are proud of our accomplishments that include:

Increasing our site traffic every year. In 2006, we received more than 4,300,000 hits and by end of 2007 we expect the total to be over 8,000,000.
Accumulating thousands of contacts from mobility and adaptive products end-users, social workers and medical professionals who have used our system.
Expanding our reach. We are now known nationwide and beyond by hundreds of thousands of users that visit Able Project for mobility and adaptive product information.
Listing over 170 manufacturers to make it easier for people to locate products and detailed product information.
Listing over 80 dealers to help clients with purchases and/or services.
Developing a "Giving Program" that solicits donated products that are provided free of charge to low-income elderly and children with no insurance or funding.
Expanding our cooperation with social services, hospitals, and non-profit organizations in purchasing and donating mobility and adaptive products to those in need but who lack funding sources.
Signing agreements with many manufacturers to directly purchase products at 30%-50% below retail prices for giving to those that are in need the most but have little or no funds for a purchase.
Assisting thousands of people with their purchasing requests that successfully utilized our products search platform and found needed products.
Doubling our public support to 65% from 32%in 2002.

We could not have accomplished these goals without the generous contributions of products, services and funds by many individuals and companies. For this we are very grateful, however, Able Project must now seek monetary sponsorship support to take the next big steps to self sufficiency: reducing its dependence on foundation grants, expand the giving program to more areas, meet exponentially growing site traffic and purchase more products for people in need who lack purchasing power. Sponsorships will be acknowledged (Sponsor’s name, logo, phone number, and web address are included in standard acknowledgements) and recognized through all pages of our site. Sponsorships will enable us to reach and help more people. Therefore, creating a much stronger network for people with disabilities!

Disability News sponsorship (1 month - $75)

General Sponsorship Programs General sponsorship programs have been designed for manufacturers, dealers and other businesses that provide services to people with disabilities:

Sponsors Acknowledgement Banner will appear on Able Project:	All pages including product pages but not the home page.
Sponsorship Contribution:	$350
Disability News Sponsorships
Our Disability News provides disability related news about people, government, equipment, culture, etc. News will include areas such as living with disabilities and create awareness about existing challenges. Therefore, we email the Disability News to thousands of our subscribers and networks on daily, weekly or monthly basis. Able Project Disability News subscribers and networks include: People with disabilities Family members Medical Professionals Social workers Professional caregivers Universities Manufacturers of mobility and adaptive products Dealers of mobility and adaptive products Other non-profit organizations Foundations and donors Your sponsorship will enable Able Project to continue its Disability News, and expand the Giving Program to help more people with disabilities. The sponsorship fee is $75 per month (28-31 days). We will acknowledge your contribution on our Disability News emails to our clients and networks and all website pages including product pages but not the home page. Able Project‘s standard acknowledgement will include sponsor’s name, logo, phone number, and web address.
